Sic Bo | Casino de Montréal

Gradual resumption of activities: Our sic bo tables are to remain closed until further notice.

Sic Bo

Sic Bo is played with three dice. For each game, you must attempt to predict the outcome of the roll of three dice.

Good to know

Sic Bo is an exciting and very easy game to play. Before playing your first game of Sic Bo, you might benefit from learning about certain notions of the game. These helpful tips and basic rules will give you a sense of what to expect before you get to the casino. Once you are at the table, don’t hesitate to ask the electronic gaming attendant any questions you may have. Helping you understand how the game is played is part of their job.

Taking a seat at the table

Sic Bo tables can be easily identified by their illuminated glass playing surface.

The initial bet

Place your money on the table. Never hand it to the dealer. The dealer will exchange your money for value chips and you may place your bet in the betting spot indicated on the table before the first card is dealt. Initial bets cannot be made, changed or withdrawn after that point.

You must respect the minimum and maximum limits indicated at the table when placing your bets.

The game

The betting options available at Sic Bo are formed by the various combinations obtained with three dice. These wagers and their payouts are reproduced on the gaming table

Using value chips purchased from the dealer, players place their bets on the table in the space(s) corresponding to their wager(s).

After all bets have been made, the dealer activates the dice shaker. The outcome of each of the three dice appears on the display. At the same time, the spaces corresponding to the winning combinations light up* on the table. The dealer then removes all losing bets from the table and proceeds to pay all winners.

Complete rules available at the casino. Ask your dealer any questions you may have.

*The spaces light up by way of indication only; should there be a discrepancy between the lit spaces and the real outcome of the three dice, the real outcome takes precedence.

Winning and losing bets

A wager wins if, after the three dice are shaken, their outcome corresponds to the player’s bet.
