Casino Privilèges Club Rules and Conditions
All Casino Privilèges Club members must abide by these rules:
-
Membership in the Casino Privilèges Club is restricted to individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older who present an official piece of ID bearing a photo and date of birth.
-
Casino Privilèges cardholders are responsible for the safekeeping of their membership card and for keeping their personal identification number confidential. Loto‑Québec declines all liability should the personal identification number be used by a third party.
-
To earn Privilèges Points at slot machines, Casino Privilèges cardholders must first correctly insert their membership card in the slot machine reader and ensure the system has accepted it. If the card is incorrectly inserted, no Privilèges Points will be earned. Loto‑Québec shall not be held liable for points not credited to a file if a card has been incorrectly inserted or an error has been made using the card.
-
Casino Privilèges cardholders may redeem Privilèges Points for cash, in whole dollars only (excluding cents), according to the applicable terms and conditions. Cardholders are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all Privilèges Points redemptions.
-
The Casino Privilèges cardholder is the only person authorized to use the card. Cardholders may not have other players earn Privilèges Points on their behalf or insert their cards in slot machines being used by other players. Privilèges Points earned by the cardholder are non-transferable. The card and Privilèges Points are cancelled in the event of the cardholder’s bankruptcy or death.
-
Loto‑Québec reserves the right to determine or change the maximum Privilèges Points balance allowed in members’ files and to require that a Casino Privilèges cardholder redeem a sufficient number of points to avoid exceeding the maximum.
-
Following twelve (12) consecutive months of inactivity, any Privilèges Points earned by the Casino Privilèges cardholder will be automatically cancelled.
-
If no activity or earnings are recorded in a Casino Privilèges cardholder’s file for thirty‑six (36) consecutive months, the file will be considered inactive and Loto‑Québec reserves the right to close it.
-
Casino Privilèges cardholders must immediately notify Loto-Québec if their card is lost or stolen. Loto-Québec shall not be held liable for damages suffered by cardholders in the event of such loss or theft.
-
Cardholders may use their card at table games to earn comps specifically for those games, under the terms established by Loto‑Québec. At the cardholder’s request, comps may be converted to Privilèges Points, which may be redeemed for cash according to the applicable terms and conditions. If the cardholder has not requested their conversion, the value of comps earned at table games can no longer be converted to Privilèges Points after one hundred and eighty (180) days.
-
Privilèges Points earned remain the property of Loto‑Québec until they are redeemed by the Casino Privilèges cardholder in accordance with in Section 4. Privilèges Points may not be assigned, transmitted, or transferred to a third party and are exempt from seizure. Furthermore, Loto‑Québec retains ownership of the card. Loto‑Québec may refuse to issue a card or to revoke a card and cancel the balance on file, notably in the event of fraud or failure to abide by Casino Privilèges Club rules or standards applicable to the casino, without incurring any liability whatsoever toward the cardholder.
-
The Casino Privilèges member’s status level is determined based on the amount of Casino Status Points accrued during the reference year established by the Casino Privilèges Club, which begins on October 15. At the term of the reference year, the member’s Casino Status Points balance is reset to zero (0) in order to assess the status level to be assigned to the member for the following year.
-
Loto‑Québec bears no liability toward the Casino Privilèges cardholder in the event of system malfunction or operator error. Loto-Québec reserves the right to correct a member’s file, i.e., to restore the points balance and any other offers that were in the file to how they were before any malfunction or error occured, as per the information contained in its records.
-
Loto‑Québec reserves the right to take any measures it deems appropriate, including adjusting the Casino Privilèges cardholder’s Privilèges Points and Casino Status Points balance, if that person is found to have disrupted a machine’s operation, exhibited behaviour that Loto-Québec deems inappropriate, or otherwise violated applicable Casino Privilèges Club rules.
-
Loto‑Québec may alter, suspend, or cancel the Casino Privilèges Club and its related rewards in whole or in part at any time, without prior notice and without incurring any liability whatsoever toward Casino Privilèges cardholders. Interpretation of Casino Privilèges Club rules and conditions is Loto‑Québec’s exclusive prerogative and its decisions in this regard are final and binding.
